Listed below are items we at
Rainy Days Irrigation inc. incorporate into every irrigation
system that add value, functionality and longevity to an
irrigation system.
Trenched pipe installation vs. Plowing;
We believe trenching insures that each pipe is put into
place without undo stress being applied during or after
the installation or that there are not any rocks that can
damage the pipe over time or that the pipe depth is consistent.
The most common service call is for a broken pipe or a loose
fitting.
Another misconception about plowing is that
the lawn is not damaged during the installation. The reality
is that plowing lifts the soil about 4” creating a
“slow bump” in your yard. This mound most be
compacted down and during the compaction process the roots
of the grass are damaged. The damage does not show up right
away but as soon as the temperature rises the plant suffers.
Head placement and Zoning:
Sprinkler heads operate best when spaced head to head with
at least three heads covering any one area. It is not always
possible to do this. The irrigation zones are determined
by sun exposure, elevation and plant type as well as water
volume availability. There are certain areas of each yard
that require more water than others-proper zoning gives
you the ability to apply water as needed to the different
areas of your yard. Proper head placement and zoning allows
you to conserve water while maintaining a beautiful landscape.
Quality Products: There is a difference
in the products available to us these days. Rainy Days Irrigation
Inc. avoids using the basic residential products. Each irrigation
manufacturer has several different levels of products based
on features, quality and longevity. We use better products
because it does make a difference.
